How about a <a href="http://www.time.com/time/magazine/article/0,9171,949898-11,00.html">not-so-old saying coined by an American</a> (yes, that&#39;s right, it&#39;s Henry Kissinger&#39;s baby). When Totten, or any journalist for that matter, can&#39;t get even the simple stuff right, you tend to wonder if it&#39;s possible for them to get the hard stuff right. Sometimes they can&#39;t, but sometimes they choose not to - and that&#39;s when it becomes a lie. Regardless, their work becomes meaningless.I used that argument in a debate with a journalist I was dating back in Boston shortly after 9/11. Her argument was based on her belief that a journalist can&#39;t be an expert on everything they wish to write about. Of course she had no good answer when the words &quot;responsibility&quot; and &quot;accuracy&quot; were batted around. That&#39;s when I realized that I was dating someone just for their looks ... oh well ... no one&#39;s perfect. lol
