hypocritesPray![]() In honor of Pope Ratzinger's visit to the United States this week. Anti-SemitismSo when someone accuses Jews of being "Nazis", it's considered anti-Semitic. But when Jews call Palestinians "terrorists", it's...not considered anti-Semitic. Okay. P.S. Speaking of "anti-Semitism", it's been about a month and nobody has answered my challenge of finding even one example of anti-Jewish comments on the totality of The Hypocalypse. Therefore, the blog will remain. American HypocrisyWith the release of the ISG report, listening to NPR today has been an exercise in masochism. On All Things Considered, they interviewed some moron from some insignifcant reicht-wing blog (calling it, I can only assume jokingly, "one of the top blogs on the web") that said we need to "unleash hell" in Iraq. Oh, I'm sorry, because I thought THAT'S WHAT WE'VE ALREADY ACCOMPLISHED THERE. What, are we now going to escort Iraq into ever deeper rings of hell like some Dante-esque parody? Then they cut to Frederick Kagan of the AEI (which stands for Zionist Dickwads R Us) who says that the answer is to send in more troops. Right, great suggestion! So instead of having nine US casualities over the weekend, we can instead hear the glorious news of 18, or 27, or more. How fun! Heck, as I write this, All Things Considered just announced ten US casualties in four incidents today alone. Yes, let's send in more troops you fucking geniuses because, you know, I just don't get enough dour news on the radio already. Is it just me? I mean, am I just extremely stupid or something? Because, I gotta say, I'm listening to these morons and I just don't get it. And really, I don't want to hear another old white politician vapidly bloviate that the Iraqis need to get their act together and threaten to withdraw US troops and monetary support if they keep dicking around over there. Listen fuckface: it was YOUR lack of principles that enabled YOUR president to send in YOUR troops that created what is now YOUR problem. As Uncle Tom once spake: You break it, you own it. And if you lack the will, the wisdom, the intelligence or the skill to fix YOUR problem, then YOU deal with the consequences. I'll go try to calm down now. Maybe I should just turn off the radio. |
